We hope that this email finds you and your family in good health. On May 7, 2020, the California Department of Public Health has updated their guidance to allow dentists to resume deferred and preventive dental care. We are pleased to announce that our office will reopen on Wednesday May 13, 2020. Your ongoing care, treatment and safety have always been and will continue to be our top priority.
We are now scheduling patients whose treatment was interrupted during our closure. As you know from previous visits, we have always taken the strictest approach to your safety while in the office. We follow the guidelines provided to us by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and are constantly monitoring these agencies for updates and changes.
You will see some of these changes on your next visit:
Implementation of HEPA air filters throughout the office to keep everyone safe from potentially harmful aerosols
Use of advanced extraoral HEPA vacuum suction systems to capture potential harmful aerosols
Strict adherence to all CDC and OSHA guidance on sterilization and disinfection protocols
Social distancing by managing your time in the office and total numbers of patients at any given time.
In order to keep foot traffic to a minimum, we ask that only the patient come into the office for the visit.
We ask all patients wear facial covering when entering the office
When scheduling your visit, we will be asking several screening questions and again when you arrive.
We will be taking your temperature upon your arrival.
You will be able to wait in your car and we will text you when it is time for your appointment.
We will have hand sanitizer available throughout the office.
If you have outstanding dental treatment that has been delayed, we want to get you in right away to prevent further worsening of your oral health. In addition, in order to maximize your insurance benefits for 2020, we need to schedule your appointment right away. Any remaining benefits not utilized this year will be lost.
